Senior presidential adviser on the Media and public relations, John Nagenda, has weighed in on the presidential term limits debate saying, religious leaders must be allowed to comment on political issues since they have a stake in the country.
It should be noted that President advised religious leaders to concentrate on spiritual matters and leave politics to politicians.
During the Morning breeze show on NBS TV, John Nagenda, argued that religious leaders have a right to comment on political issues, since they deal directly with the common person.
Nagenda appealed to the NRM members to allow free speech and internal criticism if the party is to stay relevant into Uganda’s future.
