Uganda Police moved in and seized President Museveni’s Birthday cake at a mock birthday party being held at the constitutional square by opposition youth.

The youth had planned the birthday party to ridicule President Museveni who they accuse of lying about his age and being too old fashioned to celebrate his birthday.

They claim that according to their calculations, President Museveni is

73 years old not 68 as he claims and it not fit to run as president for another term.

Police on Wednesday issued a statement saying they will not allow the youth to hold the party at the constitutional square because it will disrupt business in the city center but the youth insisted on holding the party.

This morning there was heavy deployment of Police in the city but the youth persisted on holding the party.

The gathering did not last long because as soon as they had completed singing Happy Birthday, Police moved in and confiscated the cake and other stuff prepared for the party.
