MPS have questioned the closing of a road between Imperial Royale hotel and Musa courts apartments which is behind Serena hotel in the middle of the city.
The MPs who included Frank Tumwebaze and Tororo municipality member of parliament Sanjay Tanah raised the matter before parliament.
The MPs wanted the KCCA and the ministry of works to explain whether they have sold off this road to Kharim Hiriji.
The MPs are concerned the road has been closed on top of that being guarded by police officers and private security officers.
Tumwebaze wondered how a hotel which was built in a road reserve is permitted to close the public road.
While responding to the matter the minister for works Engineer Abraham Byandala said that kintu road under question was closed over security concerns for the full protection of foreigner visitors who come in this hotel.
