MP. Nathan Igeme Nabeta case Dismissed.

The High Court in Jinja has dismissed a case in which former Jinja East MP Nathan Igeme Nabeta dragged to court by his challenger seeking to have his nomination in the Jinja East by-election nullified.

High Court Judge Justice Flavia Ssennoga Anglin has dismissed following a marathon hearing on Frida. The application was filed by Mr Nabeta’s rival, Mr Paul Mwiru, seeking to invalidate his nomination, arguing that Nabeta’s nomination was in defiance of a Court of Appeal ruling, that he lacked academic qualifications to be nominated for the seat.

Meanwhile the heat is rising as the by-election slated for Friday draws closer. President Museveni and FDC leader Kiiza Besigye are expected to arrive today and canvass for their respective candidates in a show dubbed by many as a fight of two elephants.
