Since the country’s independence over 50 years ago, agriculture has been the major economic bedrock for most Ugandans; the UPC party has decried the government over a new wave of dubious companies that deal in farmer produce.
West Nile Region UPC Vice Chairman Kaleb T, Kamure says, farmers in the region have failed to raise this term school fees due to a continental tobacco company that run away with their produce worth five billion shillings.
Kamure adds that Private firms that participated in the sector should be monitored as it was during the reign of co-operative societies other than making farmers loose.
