Police heavily deploys at clock tower

There is heavy police deployment around Clock-tower where Tabliq muslims are threatening to break down the fence around a piece of land they say was illegally leased to an investor.

The Inspector General of Police Maj Gen Kale Kaihura earlier set up an investigation team to establish conclusively the ownership of Clock tower property as well as the circumstances in which the property was recently fenced.

Policemen in heavy anti-riot gear and tear gas trucks are seen parked in the middle of the disputed land.

Police has warned the Muslims against any form of violence. He has asked the Tabliq moslems to use legal means to challenge the court ruling over clock tower land.

The Moslems led by Sheik Kamoga claim they will fight tooth and nail to forcefully recover the property after they found if had been fenced off reportedly by a Kampala Businessman.
