Government Declines to stop food exports.

The government has declined to stop the export of food out of the country as proposed by district leaders.

Members of parliament,district leaders,civil society among others are taking part in the National consultations in Entebbe on policy and actions to address high food prices in the country.

How ever state minister for Agriculture in charge of Animal industry Bright Rwamirama says the government is supporting farmers an private individuals to increase on food production both for local consumption and for export but not to ban exports because they are good for the country
