Kabale Conjoined Twins To Be Operated In October

The conjoined twins who were born on June 10th 2011 at Kabale Regional Hospital to Rossette Tusiime have now reached 8.7 Kg and they are almost reaching the required weight of 10 kgs , according to Mulago Hospital Officials.

According to the Mulago hospital Spokesperson Dan Kimosho, the twins are to be operated in October because by that time they would have reached the required weight.

Kimosho said that Timothy and Trevor are on a special diet and they were assigned a nutritionist so that they can grow fast.

Their internal organs that are the heart and the liver are so close to each other but they are not joined. They are only joined at the abdomen.

They are to be successfully operated from Mulago hospital as soon and this is to be the first operation of its kind to be done in Uganda.
